Have you ever had the chance to stroll through your favourite museum after it’s closed to the public? To stroll through each gallery bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun, enjoying the artworks with nothing but silence filling the rooms? The Sunset guided tour at the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre (CAHH) turns that dream into reality. It’s an exclusive journey through this palace of contemporary art, home to 17 exhibition spaces spread across 3,500 m², designed for you to enjoy the works in a more intimate setting and connect with art in a truly unique way.

What is the Sunset Guided Tour to CAHH?

Every Friday in August, from 8:00 to 8:30 pm, the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre offers these special 90-minute guided tours. It’s a private visit inside the Palacio de Valeriola, closed to the general public, where the evening light transforms each work of art, revealing nuances and details that might go unnoticed during the day.

For half an hour, a specialised guide will take you through the key pieces in the collection, sharing stories, meanings and fascinating insights that enrich your visit. With limited places, this format makes it an exclusive plan to enjoy as a couple, with friends, with family or even alone.

What will you see at the CAHH?

Located in the historic Palacio de Valeriola, in the centre of Valencia, the Hortensia Herrero Art Centre combines contemporary and digital art with the city’s historical heritage. Its permanent collection features works by artists such as Olafur Eliasson, Jaume Plensa, David Hockney, Mat Collishaw, Joan Miró, Anselm Kiefer, Georg Baselitz and many more.

The building also preserves archaeological remains integrated into the museum’s narrative, including traces of the Roman circus, an Islamic fountain and a medieval oven.

During the Sunset Guided Tour, the warm evening light streaming through the CAHH’s stained glass and large windows gives new life to sculptures, installations and paintings, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
