The best graffiti routes in the city of Valencia

The streets of Valencia are no longer just traffic routes, they are now also vibrant open-air art galleries that have captured the attention of thousands of tourists and locals each year. If you are passionate about urban art, you will absolutely love discovering the places where talented international artists have left their mark. We are going on tour of the main points to discover the incredible street art in Valencia:

Historic center and Barrio del Carmen: the heart of urban art in Valencia

The Ciutat Vella has the best urban art in Valencia, especially in the Barrio del Carmen. This place is full of history and creativity, with murals and graffiti on every street.

  • Moret Street, known as the "Street of Colours", is an open-air museum that will envelop you in its artistic vitality.
  • In the Músic Peydró Street, urban art meets the tradition of small craft shops, creating a unique contrast.
  • The route continues through the La Merced Square and the Calabazas street, and then enters the streets of Numancia, Ercilla, Estameñería Vieja and Calatrava, where the painted shutters of the shops are true masterpieces.

Another of the best-known routes on the urban art route in the centre of Valencia includes:

  • Caballeros Street to the Plaza del Tossal: an iconic avenue for street art.
  • San Jaime Square and streets such as Alta, Corona, Baja, Raga and Pintor Fillol: together they form a museum in themselves.
  • Roteros Street and Museum Street to Carmen Square, where every wall tells a story.
  • In Ripalda Street, murals by artists such as Julieta XLF and Ox-Alie are waiting to be discovered.

Getting to know the Barrio del Carmen through this route is a very original way of getting in touch with urban art, while enjoying the essence of the old town.

Abstract urban art route in the Turia Gardens: “Abstract, a river of art”

The old river bed, transformed into the green lung of the city, is now an open stage for urban art. This project aims to offer a sustainable experience of enjoying abstract art while walking or cycling around the city. For almost 10 kilometres, from Cabecera Park to the City of Arts and Sciences, you will find impressive murals on the bridges, garden huts and other spaces along the route.

Among the notable works on this route we find:

  • Sandra Betancourt: Her mural, located at the foot of the 9 de Octubre Bridge, marks the beginning of this artistic route.
  • Álex Marco: His work is located on the outside wall of the football pitch, near the second stop on the route.
  • AALL (Aaron Mr. Simon & Lluis Salvador): Their mural decorates the football and basketball courts.
  • Rubén Viard: His work shares space with Álex Marco’s on the outside of the football pitch.
  • Capi Cabrera: His mural is located on the Ademuz Bridge.
  • Murone: author of the mural on the Pechina walkway.
  • Rubén Tortosa: His work is on the Pont de Fusta, which connects the historic centre to the metro station.
  • Roice183: His mural adorns a gardening shed between the Puente de la Trinidad and the Puente del Real.
  • Nico Barrios: His work is located between the Puente del Real and the Puente de la Exposición.
  • Zurik: His colourful mural is at the foot of the Flower Bridge.
  • Ángel Toren: His work transforms the steps in front of the Palau de les Arts into a visual spectacle at one end of the urban abstract art route in the Turia garden.
